Delwyn Harvey

I gained Social Work qualifications in Christchurch in 2003 and for 16 years have held various roles within the statutory child protection services in Christchurch and North Canterbury. I have worked with children and their families, co-ordinated and facilitated family group conferences, and worked alongside caregivers and parents. I have also coordinated multi-disciplinary social service professionals via the Childrens Team in North Canterbury.

My most recent role has been to Supervise a team of Social Workers. Along the way I have gained experience in the Family Court arena and have knowledge of social services throughout Christchurch and North Canterbury.

I am a registered Social Worker (Social Work Registration Board # 239) and hold a current practicing certificate (valid until 30 June 2020). I am also a member of the Aotearoa New Zealand Association of Social Workers and hold a current Certificate of Competency in Social Work Practice (valid until July 2021).

My top five strengths (Gallup Clifton StrengthsFinder) are Relator, Connectedness, Activator, Command and Strategic.
